I’s the leaves! The flowers are so beautiful and vibrant at a time of year when there are so few, they are tender and brave looking in the cold, it’s easy to ignore the exquisite patterns on the meticulously arranged leaves. I go this with a white crayon resist which I covered in rich dark green ink.
